can anyone help my temperature knob has broken off. It doesn’t look damaged and I have the spring. How do I put it back on because I can’t remember what temp the dial was set on before.

Usually these temperature controls have a flat on the shaft and a corresponding flat on the knob orifice.

It is not a critical problem, even if the temp control was set to 95°.

The temp control knob can only reduce temperatures, it can not increase them.

If you set the temp knob to 95° but select a 40° wash, the machine will wash at 40°. Conversely, if you set the temperature control to 40° then select a 95° wash, it will wash at 40°.
Constant low temperature washes lead to poor wash performance, smelly drums, discoloured door seals and snapped or corroded drum supports.

In short, you are more likely to damage your machine long term if the temperature control is permanently set to anything under 60° than if it is set to 95°.

    Jim.
