ParticipantI have an Ariston Margherita 2000 AL109X, which will sometimes stop after a few minutes, and sometimes not even start. The LED error code is 6 blinks. It recently had its electronics replaces (1 blink error code), and has functioned fine for a few weeks since that. Any ideas of what this problem is? Also, it will sometimes blow its fuse almost as soon as the motor starts turning.

ParticipantHi TK,
6 flashes is a “management error” – fault on digital control board. The single flash relates to a motor speed control problem. SO – the clue is the motor blowing fuses – this will need to be replaced, as will the control board. This whole thing smacks of a misdiagnosis and you should contact your repairer immediately; your new board has failed because of the motor problem.
Was this Merloni Service or a private repair – we’d love to know.

It may be a good idea to post your question in the Oz forums dannygwapo :wink.
Your model number is not recognised by our UK software so the links to downloadable manuals would not be much use.
5 flashes on UK models suggests the pressure switch is stuck on full. Often caused by a pump or filter blockage.
If you remove the plastic kickstrip at the bottom, front of the machine you should find the pump filter. Remove this and you may find the cause of the problem.
Jim.
EDIT. I have moved you to the Oz forum, I’m sure the OP won’t mind, it was in 2004 after all. 🙂
