Ariston Margherita 2000 AWD12 Advantage – Door handle broken

Hi all

Can anyone tell me how to open the door so I can get the washing out with the handle broken? It just flops around 🙂

Once the door is open I guess I can work out how to replace the handle etc., but I need it open first?

Also, can anyone tell me the part number I need?

The only way from the front is to try and get hold of the latch with long nosed pliers or hook something round it if you can see it. Also possible to release from inside as long as you remember to remove the mains plug.
Top off and reach down inside the front of machine.

Need full model number from rating plate to identify the correct door handle kit.

Is it AWD12UK or AWD12SUK ?

Thanks for you help, door is now released! Had to do it from the top and was easy once I knew which bit moved which way 🙂

Serial number label inside the door says: AWD12UK
