Hi, I have an Ariston Margherita A1435S washing machine. The program stopped halfway and the dial kept turning, so I emptied out the filter to cure this. During this process I had to drain the machine and remove the pipe becuase a loose key was stopping me opening the filter. I had to turn it on it’s back but everything was cleared out and put back together. However when I turned the machine back on none of the programs will now work…. Any ideas????

If you laid it on its back there is a possibility you have allowed some water to drip onto the main control PCB at the back.
You didn’t have to lie it on its back, just lean it back against a wall or the kitchen units to access the pump and hoses.
Also you may have dislodged some wiring connections when you laid it back.

That doesn’t sound too good. So if I’ve fried the PCB that would mean replacing it? The lights come on and it tries to run a program, but when it should fill with water just makes a faint humming sound….. I’m just trying to work out if it’s worth getting a new machine or not. I think the bearings are on their way out too as it usually rattles around a lot on the spin…..

That faint humming sound could be the inlet valves… Check that you did not turn the water off at the mains.
