Hello,

I have the above model ariston washing machine. This is in Australia so not sure if model is meaningful to you guys.

I have previously had problems with the pump which I found info on here to troubleshoot etc. Yesterday, this machine stopped mid cycle with I believe an error code of 2 flashes. Not knowing what 2 flashes meant I did the basics like check drain, reset etc. No blockages or anything else obvious.

Now if I set to any part of any cycle (ie spin, fill, drain) the machine light goes solid, door locks but then nothing happens. No error lights, it just sits there forever doing nothing.

I have read other posts which suggest brushes – is this worth looking at?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Motor brushes are the likely culprit – worn or stuck in their holders. Remove and check them first.

Power Off before any inspection. :plug:
