Ariston Margherita AVI247C gets stuck on rinse mode

My Ariston Margherita AVI247C gets stuck on rinse mode. It just fills and drains unless I manually move the dial by a click or two to help it along. This is OK usually, but sometimes the rinsing reults could be better!! Also it means that the washer cannot be run overnight without draining West Cornwall’s water supply. Is there a part I can buy in order to remedy this.

Make sure the end of the grey corrugated drain hose is well above the maximum water level of your machine. Otherwise the fault may be caused by the rinse water simply syphoning out?

I switched off the machine when it was full of water and lo and behold it drained out!!! On inspection I noticed that the drain hose had slipped below the required level. Have corrected and now the machine seems to be working properly!
