    Machine washing with cold water only. Completes programmes OK. Resistance across element at rear bottom of drum 37 Ohms. All wiring, etc. seems fine.

    can i ask what makes you believe its not heating the water ?

    I was suspicious anyway, so I felt the water at the waste outlet during a 40 deg cycle, and at no stage was it hot. We’ve also had detergent tabs not dissolving fully.
