KeymasterHi,
All of a sudden (after 18 months) my Ariston Margherita AWD12 has developed a fault.
Half way through a program the machine stopped and the selector knob clicked over continuously with a 5 (five) flash fault code on the power light. I checked the pump prechamber but the access cover was very stiff and on removal I broke it… reason being is that I found a couple of my 2 year old sons socks behind it jamming it up.
I’ve been able to jury rig the cover back in place (minus socks) and have run a few cycles.. all without fault!
So, I ask…
1. What does the 5 (five) flash fault code refer to? I assume a jammed pump.
2. Can anyone source me a new cover for the pump prechamber and how much? ( I appreciate this is in the wrong forum)I’m sure as all of you are professionals and this next request will be a big no no… I am an aircraft engineer and always interested in trying to fix if not diagnose any faults that occur with my white appliances (and other stuff) around the house.
I tend to get service manuals off the internet etc etc But have had no luck with this Ariston product.. Is there anyone who can provide me with a service manual, schematic diagram to help me out if another fault develops… Even the flash codes would be nice. I understand if this is not possible. Thanks in advance
Mark

Sadly even we don’t have access to most of this information, Merloni only send manuals to their own engineers and agents.
The pump cover can be ordered and sent to you, it’s £14.22 inc VAT and postage, if you’d like to order, drop me an email.
The 5 fault code is water level related so yes, the socks should solve the problem.
Hope that helps a bit.
Dave.

Thanks Dave for the quick reply… I’ll most likely go for that… I’ll email you in a couple of days, remind you of the issue/part and then we can discuss payment…
Many thanks again…
Mark 😀
