Ariston Margherita (AWD12) problem – tumble dryer always on!

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my Ariston Margherita.

We moved recently and upon re-installing the Ariston in the new house we found that the tumble dryer now always comes on after a wash cycle, no matter if it was programmed to do so or not. The only way to make sure that the machine does not switch over to tumble dry is to stand next to it as it finishes the wash cycle and to manually switch the dial over to ‘stop’.

I am suspecting that this is a programming issue (similar to the clicking round of the dial, which we had after the initial installation of the machine but were able to sort), but I am not sure. Has anyone come across this before? What would you suggest?

Apologies for late reply. This could be due to moving the appliance. The controls are a little flimsy on these machines and robust movement can often displace connections or even break the control PCB’s. Very careful visual inspection of all of the controls would be the first step. Investing in better quality may be the second. 😥

Plug out before you have a poke around. 😉
