Machine stopped draining and spinning in any programme.

Cycled manually through all programmes but no reaction, except for whirring sound from within the machine, which could be the drain pump spinning.

Drained machine manually through naff trap and got it to spin with drum empty, apparently normally. However, on following wash cycle again no draining/spinning.

Drain pump shot? Electromechanical timer fault? Water level sensor US?

Any comments highly appreciated.

Set spin with filter removed – does the impellor spin?

This is a built-in appliance, so it will most likely be coupled up under the sink – check that for blockages.

Finally, given competence of most kitchen fitters, the drain hose may be crushed behind the machine due to poor fitting.

Thanks for the suggestions. Forgot to mention that drain hose is definitely clear and not crushed because I installed machine myself as part of kitchen rebuild.

You mention “filter`”. Just to be sure, is there another filter in addition to the thingy accessible from the front panel (I called it naff trap)?

After sleepless night have come to the conclusion that since machine spun nicely after I drained it manually, the fault will likely be pump failure or blockage within pump. Will now check if pump is spinning when machine in drain mode. But just in case I need a new pump and can’t lift part number from existing one, do you have it?

Got it!

When I re-installed machine in its new position yesterday, I coupled hose to different, previously unused connection on sink drain. Due to lack of use this was choked by five-year sludge build-up.

Machine working fine again. Thank you kindly for your help.
