Ariston Margherita CDE 12X Flashing Light Problem !!!

Pleaseeeee Help me !!!

You guys have been really helpful with similar queries in the past, so am really hoping you can kindly help me again.

I have an integrated washing machine, Ariston Margherita CDE 12X. It has been really playing up and doesnt seem to want to complete its wash cycle.

It is now giving me a red flashing light that is flashing 5 times.

Can somebody please tell me what this means, and ideally what I can do to fix it?

Prior to the light flashing, the wheel that you twist to set the wash program just continually turnround and clicked. Even when I powered off the machine and turned the dial to the red dot then switched it on again, the light just flashed really quickly in now obvious pattern. ….. At least, now I am getting 5 flashes of the light.

your pumps blocked
empty the filter and pump housing, and youll be fine

plug out if you plan to work on the machine

however…being as naive as I am…. would you be so kind as to tell me where the pump and the hose is located? I assume I need to whip the lid off and the pump will be accessible from there, and the hose will be obvious once I have located the pump ?

no, its on the front, there should be a filter, possiby under the kick strip at the front!!!
