I have an Ariston Margterita system 2000 in my workshop for repair.
When i plug in the washer dryer it trips the RCD immediately
I disconnected the suppressor from the machine side, Plug the machine back in and had 240 volts coming out of the suppressor.

I notice the on/off switch seems to be broken it has 4 tags on the back, two of the tags on the left hand side and closed circuit even when the switch is operated and the other two are always open circuit
I metered the wire going to the switch i have one live and 3 neutrals Which is confusing
The live to the switch comes from the suppressor
I think the switch is a double pole but if i replace the switch its going to be switching a dead short

As you’re in the trade use the megger I’m sure you have to find which component is down to earth. There’s no need to be testing a live suppressor for voltage, that’s what test meters are for.
