ParticipantMy Ariston A1535UK had a worn through pipe to pressure switch causing it to overfill. Whilst repairing this I may have dripped some water onto teh module. Because after this it failed to work as well as it did before, alternatively it has confused itself and needs a reboot? How is this done?
Initially after the pipe repair the motor kicked a little, the machine filled for 10 secs and then drained continuously with the dial continually turning.
Then the motor did not ever turn but it still filled briefly, drained continuously and dial stopped on 1.
The symptoms are various and the functioning gets worse each time I try it. Now nothing turns apart from the dial and the door lock does not operate.
Do I need a module repair, something else or a reboot?

Dial revolving tells you there is s fault. The pattern of the flashing light on the control panel (ie 1-2-3-4-pause-repeat) is the actual error code. Check and post back.

The red light flashes with a consistent flashing. No particular pattern. Elsewhere on Forum I read you can reboot by turning dial to a dot and turning m/c on. I did this and got a few rapid flashes. All is OK now so a reboot must have solves things.

Turning to one of the three dots is the correct way to cancel the current programme, it is not a reboot. If you set a programme and then turn the dial, even one increment after it has started it will click round through 360° right back to the original setting. It is more than likely that the modlue has finally dried out. If not my bet is that you will be back soon. 😥

Now its hopefully working OK I notice that if I turn dial to a dot I get 2 slow flashes, then 3 or 4 rapid flashes (too fast to count) then continuous slow flashes. Is this normal behaviour?
When cancelling programme it’s similar except that first 2 slow flashes are one long one.

When you turn the knob to one of the dots after the programme has started the neon does flash as you describe, then you switch off and select the programme you want. Useful if you don’t want the machine to go through all the rinses, you can just turn it to spin. Far better to let it get on with it on its own though.
