ariston tc714/2 shorting

hi all, i replaced a burnt out selector switch for grill/top oven. when powered up and before i could even set the clock, a fuse on a neutal by the terminal block blew tripping 32a mcb (not rcd).
i have strapped out the blown fuse and continuity test for whole appliance is 25ohms. i have metered all elements and fan motors but resistances are much higher.
any ideas or wiring diagrams would be greatly apprieciated.
