hi ariston w/d awd12s select any programme starts pumping door lock starts to flash then prog knobs starts to continually turn checked components ie heater motor etc all seem ok.thinking control board any ideas, thanks

When the timer knob starts to click round you need to count how many times the mains light flashes between pauses, that will give you an error code.

That specimen has done well to last this long! Must be an old lady using it once a week and living in a tidy, dry and well insulated bungalow.
You could do a search on here in Trade Technical Enquiries using just the model no. You’d probably find enough to keep you entertained for hours and on and on and on…
