ParticipantI have an Ariston Margherita 2000 Model AB95. It will start a cycle to wahs however within 30 seconds begins to drain which ends with the dial spinning uncontrollably with around 1 flash of the power light between movements and the pump continuing to run however not draining the machine completely. This can be turned off and reset using the pink dot reset function however does the same thing over again on starting a new cycle. Can anyone help??

First of all I will move you to the Oz forum. 😉
That model number does not correspond to any appliance sold in the UK.
However if the mains light is flashing a steady once between pauses then it suggests a triac failure on the main module. The electronics are one of the weak points on these machines. 😥
You may get some more info from people a little near to home in this forum.

AB95 is an australian model.
The fault code meaning is the same as the UK model (Triac Failure). The cure is a new module and eeprom. You will need your serial number when ordering one as without it the supplier (Arisit Australia) can’t tell which part number to supply.
From memory the average module is at least $300.00

These are promoted as “Quality” machines over here 😯
Check http://users.vic.chariot.net.au/~qas/Washer_catalogue.pdf to see what prices they sell at. This page has Bosch, Indesit, Ariston & Miele and Bosch are the cheapest :rolls:

An Ariston for the same price as a Miele, to quote Victor Melldrew, ” I don’t believe it”. 😯
That really is amazing.
