Arthur Martin Electrolux washer

I have a French, top-loading Arthur Martin Electrolux washer, model #AW825TA, product ID 913761641.

My problem is that it won’t spin. I have read the posts about checking brushes, but i can’t even figure out how to get into the cabinet of this thing. It’s a hand-me-down, so i don’t have a manual, and i’ve come up empty on the web.

Managed to find the drive belt for it on a German spares site…… It a flat poly V belt, so we can assume that it does have a carbon brush motor. If the construction follows the usual Lux Group top loader style, the right hand side panel (as you look at the front) should remove. The motor hangs under the drum, so access to the motor is limited – you might consider working up to it from under the machine.

Stay safe – power off at all times.

Right, well, i got the side off the machine, and the broken drive belt fell out! My local appliance store doesn’t have it, so would you be willing to tell me where you found the German dealer?

The belt has the following numbers, etc on it:
124021140 hutchinson POLY.V 1287 H MAEL

Then you need a POL60 belt via emailing that fact to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for one! 🙂
