Before I accept this job are there any issues with changing bearings on an Asko washer? Not been inside one before but I know they are tank like machines. Anyone done one?

Not that difficult, but you do really need an alignment tool to do it. It can be done without on, Andy at APG has done it, but I think anyone that knows the machine will tell you that it does make life a lot easier.

The ISE10 video shows it in detail. Dunno if you have access to that as it’s on the DVD.

The alignment tool we are waiting on but I know a few people do have them.

Find it hard to believe they would have gone on a 6461….. Its a methodical strip down from the front. Nothing tricky but not like any other machine you would have worked on. IMO the centralising tool is not vital, the bearing insertion tool is though.

Yeah it’s already been looked at by someone else who said the bearings have gone but wouldn’t do it because they’d never done an Asko before.

Are the same tools required for the W6561 ( alignment tool & Bearing tool)?

If so, where can I purchase/get them and at what cost?
