Asko washing machine questions

Hello

i have a 8 year old Asko W6242T Whos not working. I think it might be the brushes but not sure

When I start a program it start taking in water, but then nothings happening, after a coupple of minutes the timer and lights switches of. No error codes.

I have taken out the brushes, on of the brushes is almost worn out, but it s still contact. Have scratched the motorpart with some sandpaper and tried it again on sentrifuging but nothing happens. Is it worth buying some new brushes to check it out. The brushes was quite expensive as well 43Pounds, is it possible to use different brushes that are for fhp motors (12BK02)

chances are there other ones that will fit but

cant find you model but the brushes i found are described as switch off. From that i summarize they contain a device with a spring that pops out when brushes are too short to save damaging the motor. so if yours have failed there will be a plastic dimple popped out of the head of the brush. Also if your brushes have failed you will either find a pop out or the brush face will be dull and pitted where it has been sparking

You can use these but as Dave says, you lose the motor protection:

If you’ve used sandpaper on the motor commutator though you may have damaged it as you should only ever use a specialist cleaning stick for doing that, it’s a very fine grade abrasive cleaner. So, firing in the cheap ones to try it may be the best thing to do.
