    Hi
I have a new switch due to a broken spindle but I have no idea how to get to the broken one to replace it.
Can anyone give me a step by step guide at all?
    Thanks

will need to full model number as there are 20 units with similar numbers. even better would be the 10 digit number off the label which starts either 771 or 772

the top has to come off

remove glass lid and hinge supports

remove screws round each burner and 2 screws holding top down at the rear

when all loose raise top clear of burners, slide forward and off

Thanks Dave however this oven doesn’t have a glass top.

currently it’s up against the wall in kitchen….do I need access to the back of it?

Ok I’ll try that. So when the top is off the selector switches should be visible?

Thanks Dave, is this the same set up as mine? One in the picture looks different or are the switches the same?

sorry if I sound a bit slow with this but I’m out of my comfort zone and determined to sort it myself

this is the service manual that links with your model. it may be slightly different but essentially the same

just take your time and you cant take too many photos as you can always delete them later and that means you can go back if you need to

make sure you have correct part before you fit it. the pic above is after the thermostat has been unclipped from the back you can see it in the foreground
