    Hi there.

I’ve got an Atlant gas oven. Details from the back are:

    Model: 5040TA/UK
    PRN: 947300429
    Series: 84900115

It has the standard “push and hold” action for the knobs, so the gas has to be ignited to prevent leaks. The problem is that the thermostat in the oven is so cranky that I need to hold the knob in for 2 minutes before I can release it. Any less than that and the flames go out.

Any ideas how to fix this? I’d prefer to do it myself if I can locate the parts.

    Many thanks.

It will either be the thermocouple or the thermostat by the sound of it.

You will need to legally get a Corgi registered engineer to repair this for you though, please check the repairs@ link below, there should be someone there that can help 🙂

Thanks very much for the response. Shame it’s not a simple DIY job!
