    I assessed a customer’s washing machine on 13 April and ordered a new drum, bearing, element and seal. As these spares failed to appear over the next two weeks, I assumed that the insurance company had written the appliance off. You can understand my surprise this week when the spares arrived out of the blue by courier and I was allocated the job today. This customer has had to wait 10 weeks for the spares to arrive. I had to sympathise with her frustrations having had to rely on family and friends during this time …
    Has anyone else experienced long delays for spares, authorisations from insurance companies etc and how did the customer react on your return?
