ParticipantHave just installed this one yesterday, customer called today to say that there is a very bad vibrating and drumming noise when the drum is agitating it gets worse as the program gets to spin even the cabinets transfering the noise.
Sounds very much like a bearing drone /or out of position belt from what i heared over the phone .
Having to go back tomoro to first check but may have to take a replacement as he not impressed.

This one doesn’t appear to be suspension leg as the noise is there as the drum initially turns, so suspension is not really having to move at that point?
Removed front lower panel and watched when it was agitating.
It is though the load is too heavy to turn and its a pully/ belt slipping but it continues the graunching noise as it rotates 😕
All looks ok?
The motor is sparking a bit, which i know you do get a bit while the brushes bed in, but it did also spike slightly at one point.Just had another call from second customer delivered yesterday with what sound like the same noise and symptoms?
Calling back to investigate this one today to check?
Really odd. Just my luck, surely cant have two the same.

I did install one in May 2009, as soon as I set it on it sounded as though it had several bra wires in the drum. I couldn’t see anything inside the drum and when spun by hand it didn’t make the noise.
It was exchanged at once as like many others at the time it also had cabinet damage. I never did find out what was causing the noise. 😥

I think there is a connection with them being damaged.
Once exchanged I will have a good look before its collected and see if I can find reason.
Last 3 machines delivered have had some kind of packaging damage, although 2 when unpacked looked ok (looks can be decieving) If they have been dropped squarely or rolled, no visable damage can be seen.
A bit like when you hit your car looks fine but the damaged has been absorbed by the crumple zone, but its hidden. The 3rd one when moved by hand packaging almost fell off frontal cabinet damage dent and creased lower chasis.
This damage is obviousSo I think any unseen physical damage to the cabinet frame is causing some sort of weakness 😕
Got to be some kind of transport issue. If you have seen the way these guys chuck stuff around I am not suprised that they get damaged.
In hine sight i should have just refused the lot but when you have sales waiting, you just take a risk, this time its not paid off caused me no end of hassle two extra visits and two unhappy customers.
A tad 😳 😳 to say the least. but my fault.
Would like to try and get to the bottom of this. Hopefully will find out and let you know.

I have found the noise on this one, noticed that there was a small shread of rubber in the base from the belt. :rolls:
So removed the belt, the edge of it was sliced and found another small strip of rubber around the motor pulley unwound it and replaced the belt.
Job done now nice and quiet 😉
The noise on the second one I have which sounds like a graunching from the motor as thou under strain when turning with a load on the initial up action happens on every wash. (spin no problem)
The machine has done at least 15 washes now, so brushes should have bedded by now but on the roll back after agitation there is a slight clicking noise from the brushes. On occasions there is also a bit of spiking.
So think there is a motor problem just waiting for replacement to confirm, or is it worth changing brushes first:?Steven
