AW23 flimsy bolts?

Had to call to an AW23 this afternoon, installed on the 5th August 2009.

Complaint of a loud banging noise on spin.

I found that the top bolt securing the front. left hand side balance weight had snapped off and the weight had split in two. 😯

It wasn’t the most edifying sight, as I attacked the front of the drum with a hacksaw, snips and mole grips to get out the piece of the bolt that was left in the mounting lug, she stood watching me the whole time. :rolls:

I am also waiting on a left hand weight. Machine has done exactly the same as the picture although the weight also tore through the doorseal.
