AWCT12 module.

I am finding a number of modules failing on the same fault, causing the machine to loose all signs of life. The cost of the module is not a problem while the machine is under warranty,but will be a problem after the warranty is over.I have a number of these machines out on rent and I want to keep the maintenance costs as low as possible.
Has any bright spark found out which component is causing the problem and if the module is repairable?

if the module is the same as AWCT10 but different software then have had the 2.2uf capacitor go down making module loose power

common fault is
turn on machine ok
programme machine and start prog ok
machine fills then stops

I had a look at my dead modules and found my caps ok. I have got a short across D5 but it is not D5 causing the problem.

D5 looks like part of the power supply on the board but if a diode blows there has to be a good reason as they are pretty hardy
I would take 1 leg of the diode out and test again you may be getting the short through other components

Yea, done that Dave. It is not the diode but something deeper.????
