    I have a AWD12s the problem is that even when the dryer dial is turned to the off position the dryer still goes in to dry mode wether i like it or not. any help appreiciated

    Would this by any chance be an Indesit, if so then along with legions of other common faults on these machines the small connector can come adrift from the dryer control switch causing this fault. Plug out before you take a look please.

    ariston i think?, check what iadom has mentioned, and also that the drier dial/knob is not cracked on the shaft, so that it can look to be ‘off’ but can actually be on a setting

    Hi guys I checked the machine today and as described the small plug had come away from the pointometer, duly replaced plug and all fine.
