Aweful noises from Fridge

I have a Bosch Exxcel Fridge which I obtained 2nd hand from my daughter as it did not fit in kitchen of her new house. The fridge is about 6 years old and works fine except makes a terrible animal( Elephant like?) noise periodically!
We have had the fridge for 15 months and my daughter says the noise also happened before then.
Although nothing untoward has happened I am getting worried that something could happen such as a fire or breakdown and we go abroad on hols in 3 weeks time so I am especialy worried about leaving the fridfe unattended.
Any advice on course of action to take please?

Sounds like the groaning one which is usually attributed to normal expansion and contraction so, probably not a lot you can do about it and if it’s operating normally I’d leave it alone.
