Has anyone got any tech info on this please,
I’ve got cousin who lives the other side of the country and he wants to have a look at it himself as the local guy wants a 100 quid call out fee!
He’s an electrical engineer himself and I just want to be able to point him in the right direction.
He has to keep moving the machine on manually after fill, and he’s worried that it’s the board and doesn’t want to pay a hundred bucks to be told to get a new one.
If anyone has a tech manual that I can read and I can then give him some things to check out first then that would be great,

    Cheers

If it sticks on wash but not on rinse then the heater is faulty.
Common things to check are: Air Chamber, Pump, Sump Hose, Motor Brushes and damaged wiring harness around heater fixing. Doubt if timer is at fault by the way.

Local guy charging £100 call out? Does your cousin live on a remote Hebridean island or maybe a top floor flat in Moss Side in Manchester? 😕

He lives in a not too remote part of north west Ireland, but thats the quote he’s getting…Maybr it’s whirlpool themselves quoting, I’m not sure…
I’d told him to check most of those things, and he will when he gets home at the weekend.
Is the diagnostics easily accessible on this, is there a way to read the alarm codes?
I’d be surprised myself if its not the obvious but just thought I’d double check.

    Cheers

It’s an old machine, no “diagnostics” no “alarm codes” to worry over, it’s just a bog standard Whirlpool, no frilly bits. 🙂
