AWM5145 / 5 door boot

[electrofix]

fitted a new door boot on this machine

The old one had been damaged removing washing from the machine

3 months later got called back for a leak the boot had rubbed through on th door lock

fitted a new boot plent of talc to act as a lube went back today its done it again

suspension ok drum is straight in case cant see any reason why unless qualtex are giving me the wrong boot

aynone had any similar probs if i cant solve it will scrap as this is starting to cost me but i dont want to refund customer either if i can help it

Is it a genuine boot you are fitting?

I never use pattern doorseals the quality is rubbish.

yes as far as i know searched qualtex fitted a gen one 12 month ago think have fitted another one since but cant trace record

Check the drum is not sliding back and forth in the bearing.

thanks allsortd for input

cant be bearings hole is by door lock its like the outer drum was too close to front of machine or the boot had too much depth
some door boots used to have an indent moulded in to miss the lock
