Throws up F08 after washing for at least 10 minutes.
Heater meggers out OK when cold, there is a feed to the heater. NTC reads about 15k? at room temp.
A search reveals F08 as heater circuit fault, if anyone has any tech info on this beast I would be most grateful. 🙂
TIA. Jim.

I wont have access to tech docs until the weekend jim , but regardless of fault code displayed , i find 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of faults on these can be solved by checking connections on ribbon cables between 2 control units – sometimes even a wiggle will do it without you being able to see any problems ;
if you are still stuck later in the week, let me know and i will see what i can findApril 18, 2011 at 5:35 pm #349586iadom

Thanks Chezza, I’m going to have to get my ladders out then, TBH access to the lower components is really good on these but I will need some elevation to reach into the top. 😀

😕
Went to this last week and tweaked the ribbon cable to the large PCB at the top, rear. I’m guessing the one in the base is an inverter board so didn’t touch that one.
Plugged it into my power monitor socket and ran on test on a 40° wash.
It is a H&C fill and the incoming hot water is very hot. Machine filled, ( not much with no clothes in ) and after about 30 seconds the heater switched on, within three or four minutes it then switched off. I tested the water temp and it was 40°. I left it running and after about 10 minutes the heater came on again for about 45 seconds. It seemed to be counting down normally.
Then set it to a 60° wash after draining and refilling and again it appeared to work fine.
The customer has just rung back to say that it worked fine for 3 or 4 washes and is doing the same thing again.
Any more suggestions?
Jim.

Hi Jim,
I had a look through all the manuals for the Dreamspace washers and cannot see a chart with resistance readings for the ntc on any of them but the reading you have looks to be in the normal range for all their other washers. If the appliance goes through the test program OK I would go with a faulty heater/ntc

Been back again today.
Set it to wash without touching anything. It filled then heated up to 40° perfectly and completed the cycle. ❓
She says it did 6 washes after my last visit without problems. 😕
Intermittant faults, a nightmare when you don’t carry any parts to change for test purposes. 😥
