Can you advise on a fault I have with my Whirlpool AWZ541 tumble dryer.
The unit spins etc but blows only cold air – I guess this is down to either the thermostat(s) or the heater element having blown.

As I’m a complete novice to this type of repair, please can you advise on the type of meter I’d need to check both of these parts?

Also, I understand that there’s a reset switch on this model – any idea where this may be located?

I’ve also been trying to locate a download of the user manual for this dryer but with no luck anywhere – is this available anywhere?

    Many thanks

    Paul

    hi

there is no reset switch on these machines

it has 3 stats on it and any one could have gone, as could the heater

if you are a novice as you say i would advise you call an engineer

    Thanks for your reply

    What are ‘stats’?

I only asked about the reset switch because when I was looking into obtaining spares i.e. thermostats/heater element etc. I came across a listing for a spare re set switch for the AWZ541 – maybe this was listed in error for this model.

I’m seriously considering getting a qualified engineer to fix this, thanks for your advice.

    Stat is short for thermostat.

    Cheers
