ParticipantWater pressure to machine is fine, but there seems little pressure inside.Have operated the door switch with door open, and none of the arms rotate and water only comes out of the bottom arm. There is no water going to top or middle arm.Have done all the usual, filter, removed all arms, pipework that supplies middle and top arm etc.Is there a motor or pump u/s, any ideas thanks,Adam.

Have you checked that the fill hose isn’t kinked or crushed? A favourite is for the hose to get trapped under the back foot of the appliance.

If I remember, the water dispersal should alternate between upper & lower spray arms so you shouldn’t expect to see the water coming from everywhere at once. There’s a possibility your spray arm has a blockage – this should easily unscrew for you to check.
DentedPorsche is your man for the Whirlpool machines, though. Bump this thread when he comes online.Craig

Ok, remove the bottom spray arm and start the machine up, if there’s plenty of water being shoved out then the spray arms are blocked, if there’s enough water in the machine and very little being pumped I’d have to suspect a faulty wash pump motor or a blockage in the wash pump.

DPThanks, tried the above doesn,t seem enough water and pressure coming out and when the bottom arm is refitted water comes out of the jets but there isn,t enough pressure to turn it.If anybody has the correct name for the pump required and a possible part number, that would be great.

ModeratorThe part number for the motor is 481236158334, but I would advise having an engineer out to check that’s what is actually required as these things retail at over £100.
