Bad Beko motors

Lately I have been out to a lot of Beko machines which have been just under or just over two years old. More and more I am coming across a very clean, very well looked after machine that has not done a lot of work at all, yet the motor is either gone or going.

Last night it was a WM6167 sold to a woman by the ‘ourgus’ 2 years ago. The woman says she uses the machine predominantly on a 30 min wash (except for weekend) that make roughly 400 – 450 hours on the motor, yet the motor was boolaxed. The plates on the comm were burnt and lifting yet she was still on her first set of brushes and there was still 1″ – 1.5″ of brush left. The machine was in perfect condition otherwise … no soap .. no bearing wear.. no marks on the rubber .. no dints or bruises … door left open for the machine to breath.

Anyone else finding this?

hi george – and yes we see this a lot on new beko , most prob has taken module out as well ..

we done a few , been caught out by just fitting motor ..

very poor quality , but remember this is the same machine you cant renew paddles as well – new tub unit if paddles come off ..

watch out for this model as it could cost you under warranty etc

is it the same on a WM7127W?

had a few beko motors where the magnet on the tacho breaks into pieces and so tries to go full speed then errors out 🙂
