Badly smelling crockery after dishwashing

In recent weeks when removing crockery from my integral dishwasher (diplomat, now 5years old) a really bad smell was evident on the sparkling and clean looking crockery. I have used all of the advice available and the Dishwasher was totally clean. Finally gave up and removed it replacing it with a bosch freestanding machine that I purchase around about two years ago. Before installing the bosch all the drainage was hosed and cleaned with “soda cristals” and hose pipe into the ground waste. I still have exactly the same problem, very smelly crockery, sparkling but smelling really bad and offensive. The machine is salted and rinse aid and I use expensive dishwasher tabs can any body help please I am desperate now and don’t know what else to do…thank you

I’m sure we’ve come across this before but can’t recall what the outcome was.

You have tried different detergents and cleaning the dishwasher haven’t you?
