    I have a Balay ff 3KFL7654/D5

    Both the fridge and the freezer have stopped normal functioning. It still hums when you turn it on, but not the normal squeaks and gurgles that it has done since new.
    The temperatures have stabilised at 15c for the fridge and between 2 and 4c for the freezer (the freezer is set at -22c)
    Is this a sort of get you home mode like you would have with a modern car ?
    Unit is 9 years old and as I live in Spain I consider it is probably BER, but just curious as to why it would stabilise like that.

    It’s most likely the compressor has failed not pumping worn out.
    Or the system has a leak and lost the refrigerant.
    So you are correct most likely BER if 9 years old
