    Tom trained me up a good few years ago now.

    Balay is now owned by Bosch. We got an apartment in Portugal recently and all the appliances are Balay. I was a bit worried at first but then noticed most of the components were from Siemens/Bosch as I have these in my house in the UK and I recognised things like the powder dispenser and the baskets. I think it is a bit like Skoda / VW / Audi where they share key components and just change the badge and lights for different market segments. Good quality but basic, and fairly quiet.

    BSH took over Balay in 98, the BSH group have 70 appliance companies in 50 countries.
