ParticipantHi,
This machine gives an intermittent fault as follows:
A red light flashes then HF fault code appears which indicates `fault in water supply`. This red light can appear immediately machine starts to fill then just stops half way and fault code appears. The machine sometimes starts and this may not occur until rinses. The machine sometimes will do a wash ok. 😥 Customer says water to machine is fine?
This has been very infrequent in the recent past but of late it has become worse until she rang me today to call me out as it now did not work at all.
I just know that when I go it will work ok.
Any known problems here that this fault would point to.
Your help would be enlightening.
Thanks
Laurence

Pressure switch/pressure system can throw that one up, Laurence. Has an “Aquastop” fill hose as well, although if that’s tripped fully it should come up as “FA”.
Cheers,

Could you explain an `aquastop fill hose` please

The one with the inlet valve at the tap end of the hose……. And a shut-off mechanism in the machine to kill it….. And occasionally a nasty red re-set button, so you have to depressurise the system in order to reset it.
Wonderful things. Not.

Just been doing a bit more reading – it’s got a flowmeter as part of the inlet set-up, which will also give “HF” if it fails 😕 .

ParticipantHad this recently and it was caused by the drain hose being too far down the stand pipe causing the water to syphon away. This in turn causes the FH error to flash up as there is now insufficient water in the tank.

Hi Folks,
Went to machine and problem occured.
Removed top and rear and checked for inlet valve operation-OK, checked for pressure hose/chamber blockage-ok. What I did find was that the pressure switch (red/brown oval shape) which had a 4 lead plug connector was, when blown into, operating one level ie. clicked only once. Would this be usual for 4 leads on this switch. I ensured all the plugs on the board where making good contact.
I then tried it again and it worked ok and put it through the test programme twice-ok.
I advised the customer of what I had done and the possibility of a bad connection. I told her to contact me if it went wrong again.
Same day she contacted me to say same problem again. She tried it again and it went ok. 😥
I did not check syphoning but will when I return. I don`t think this is a problem as it was happening prior to moving to this house, but I will not rule it out.
This machine is from the Netherlands so I can`t find the part No. for the switch which is on the component 461971049151.
Thanks
Laurence
