ParticipantRECENT CALL TO A BAUKNECT WA535CE GERMAN IMPORT WASHING MACHINE WITH A NO SPIN FAULT. LOCATED FAULT ON DOOR INTERLOCK BUT CAN NOT FIND ANY WAY OF OBTAINING A REPLACEMENT.CAN ANY OF YOU CLEVER PEOPLE HELP ME.THE MACHINE IS AROUND 18 YEARS OLD.LOVELY QUALITY BIT OF KIT AND THE CUSTOMER WOULD LOVE TO KEEP IT ALITTLE LONGER.
THE INTERLOCK IS QUITE SMALL WITH FOUR TAGS ON ONE END.
I HAVE SEEN THIS FAULT A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE MANY YEARS AGO AND CANNOT REMEMBER THE BRITISH VERSION.July 28, 2006 at 10:55 am #183427Dave_Conway

If you get the service number 02/?????? type format for the older ones then phone Whirlpool spares on 0208 649 5450 they will be able to check the correct part number for you 🙂

thanks Dave,i tried what you said & they said the machine is 22 years old & only the timer is now available,so thats the end of that then unless anyone got an old one left on the shelf somewhere.

If the door lock is still locking you may be able to take the back off and clean up the contacts on the spin switch.

The Seimens switch block is used in commercial laundry products – that might be your best route. Zanussi used to use it in the old Z machines with the clutch motor as well, bolted to the chassis. Can’t find any reference now though.

Fitted to old Zanussi SL1282 and SL2282/4 auto washers with the drop-down doors IIRC. 😉
Doesn’t seem to appear on any of the catalogues I have. Shame. 🙁Steve.
