ParticipantI am not sure this is a fair question, but I might jag something.
We have just moved house and there is a Baumatic BK2460 900mm dual fuel range here.
I cannot get the grill to work, but the instructions are so peculiar that I may be doing something wrong. It says that to get the large grill, I have to first select the temperature (200Deg C) and then set the other control to a position that has a square with a line of three triangles across the top. However when I do this, the oven starts to look good, until it gets hot, then it behaves like an oven.
I did not even get the small grill to work at all. The instructions here are to set the temp to Max, then select a square with two little down arrows line across the top.
When I try to set for small grill, the fan comes on at the back. So it is operating as an oven!
So. I am asking in the hope that somebody can tell me if I am doing something wrong, or they have similar experiences and if the oven needs
repair. As I say a perhaps unfair question, but thanks for any help.

It’s a bit unfair as it’s an Oz market product……..
Machine appears to be a Lofra-made one and the agents are:
Think Appliances Pty Ltd 58 Northgate Dve, Thomastown Vic 3074 Ph: (03) 9463 5111
Normally, with multifunction-ovens you select grill and put the temperature round to MAX – leave the door open, otherwise the thermostat will cycle as if cooking in oven mode. There is often a cooling fan activated, rather than a circulation fan.

Sorry I did not realise it was an OZ product. I assumed that it was just a model of oven. I am obviously a victim of globalisation 🙂
Thanks for the pointer.
But what you say makes sense…sort of. It seems crazy to have a fan blowing air out of an open door while you are trying to grill.
The “instructions” did not mention leaving the door open. I will have another go and thank you.
