Keymasterdoes anyone on here sell Baumatic appliances, if so where do you buy them from and is there any common ones you buy
for example we use a lot of built in dishwashers and washer dryers
the reason for the question will become clear shortly.
Thanks
Simon.

Thanks for the email, good luck in selling Baumatic, personally we use other manufacturers but I did sell some Baumatic appliances when I was a service agent direct for them, mainly extractors, hobs and ovens

You can get them from Baumatic direct, BCGXL and some from DAD.
We get them direct from Baumatic, the washers tend to be Fagor and the dishwashers same crap as matsuis etc.February 11, 2011 at 8:35 am #344164February 11, 2011 at 12:01 pm #344165kwatt
KeymasterSimon,
I have two reports of unsolicited emails being sent regarding you selling Baumatic appliances. Please stop it as I really can’t be doing with members sending spam, which is unsolicited sales emails.
Randomly sending emails to members using these forums is an almost sure fire way to get you banned.
If you want to sell stuff, stick the offer in classifieds and let people contact you if they’re interested.
Thanks.
K.

Hmm
Now I understand where that unsolicited email came from.
AppleElectrics – thanks but no thanks, I don’t like being targeted like that and a £2.00 reduction on the price is not in my opinion a Special Offer.
Kindly remove me from your marketing database, any further communications of this nature will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Regards
Jackal

Firstly, it was never our intention to cause offense to anyone on this forum.
We have been in business for over 32 years and have always tried our best to offer the best service possible to the public, business and trades people alike.
We never used direct contact details from the whitegoods forum to send out random emails, our office staff have spent a great deal of time and effort finding details of like minded businesses up and down the country, some are forum members and a some aren’t, the emails weren’t sent as spam they were sent as genuine offers to people in the same trade as we are.
We have recently had a meeting with Baumatic as we sell a lot of their machines and they advised us that they would be able to offer us wholesale deals on appliances, from reading different forums it became apparent that not everyone has trade accounts with major distributers, or with Baumatic themselves, and as companies like Portway are stocking less and less Baumatic products we as a company simply wanted to offer other likeminded companies the opportunity to be able to sell Baumatic appliances using the savings we had got on board.Jackal, if you can get Baumatic products at only £2 more then that’s great for you, but from the response we have a lot of people can’t get those prices, also a simple “no thanks and please remove me from you database” would have sufficed, there was no need to add the part about reporting me to the authorities, I do have business law qualifications and therefore do fully understand the legalities, and I really can’t understand the “Hmm” at the beginning of your reply, you weren’t being targeted as you put it, I was simply putting a genuine email enquiry to you, isn’t that why we list our email address on our websites and on our advertising so people can contact us? If you let me have your email address I will make sure it is not used in relation to any further correspondence from my office.
I have always found people on this forum very helpful and forthcoming with information, our aim was to simply give something back by offering the savings we get onto others, we make our money through our engineers, shop sales, and our other business interests, what we were offering out to a select few in the trade was simply a service.
Kind regards

From the explanation your have tendered above, you will know that under the “Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) of 2002 and Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003, that I am required to put you under notice that further unsolicited emails will constitute an annoyance, which is in fact a criminal offence under part 8 of the above Act.
Such notice has now been served and acknowledged.
Whilst I appreciate the intention was not to cause offence, the manner in which you have conducted the exercise, has never the less caused offence and clearly not just to me. For the avoidance of doubt, I was not one of the many to have contacted the owner of the site and report the matter.
The Hmm, was because I wasn’t sure where/how you obtained my personal email address in the first place. My business website is under a completely different domain name and so is my business email address which means you could have only obtained the email address used, by harvesting it from this site.
I am pretty sure if this site wanted you to harvest its email address database I am pretty sure it would have made the function available to you or sold it to you but clearly it hasn’t. In fact, when the owner of this site has previously wanted to target users to take up a service or facility he has advertised it in the appropriate forum and left it to members to contact him.
Targeted? I would say I was, or are you suggesting you sent it to everyone on this list and every other member of this industry as from your reply you said the following.
our office staff have spent a great deal of time and effort finding details of like minded businesses up and down the country
Looks like targeting to me.
A PM will be sent to you shortly with the email address you used to enable you to remove my details.
Regards
Jackal

one reason not to offer baumatic.
BG550GBL
baumatic are adamant theres a pcb potentiometer and remlevant thermostats in it.
ive been to see one, there isnt, theres a dual phial regular t/stat and regular timer.
thyeve since cost us majority of our letting agent works because we couldnt repair the baumatic oven put in by the kitchenfitter who did the kitchen, not our fault of course – esp if Baumatic dont know whats in their machines but in the eyes of the letting agents, it wasnt their fault either esp as they had 1/2months rent withheld
the companys’ ovens are a joke. half their washers are now chinese haier crud, along with most of their d/w’s
even hp are a better brand than baumatic for most stock, so use that as your benchpost, a belief most of their machines are fagor stock is misplaced!!!

I am a Baumatic Dealer, have been for many years, i really do think its not the right place to rip in to Baumatic appliances, especially when the statements regarding where they are built etc is not neccessaryily the facts.
Before making this kind of statement a little more research should be done.I cant even find the model you mention, maybe thats where the problem is.

ParticipantBelieve me ….Baumatic products are junk… l repair them when pushed Gosh l dont know anyone who would sell these products and chance the reputation of thier companies Yeah your right most of the c**p is from China …. its getting worst by the day and another point ..Have you ever tried getting the correct parts from Baumatic Its a Joke!!!

well its on their website as discontinued, and baumatic could find the also find the model no but the parts inside did not match the parts on their spares list.
i still have the oven waiting to be scrapped, for anyone sad enough to want to play spot the difference between the oven and its schematic 😀
with regards to the charming girls at Baumatic spares, as loverly and helpful as they try to be, they are hampered by no manufacturer back up, or access to field engineer experience. they are essentially a callcentre with connect on their screen. so yeh, baumatic = style over substance, form over function, profit over quality.
