Hi Guys hope everyone’s ok, replaced the grill element for none standard pattern version not intended to fit as no pattern available and genuine out of stock,the new grill element width spans about an inch over but fits fine accept its very close to thermostat pod, was bit concerned about misreadings, tested it this evening and selected top and bottom element on and left it to reach 250 at about 200 the overheat stat tripped and after leaving it to cool off selected 200 and overheat soon tripped out again, i would of thought if anything the thermostat pod would have reached temp sooner and shut of elements? the rating of new element is only 100 watts above original. im guessing element is not compatible but bit stuck
