My 5yr and 2months (!!) old oven has just developed a fault.

When used in fan oven or pizza mode it overheats.
It ignores any temperature setting and I can see the element behind the rear panel start to glow red – I’ve never previously seen this.

If the oven is used in grill or fan grill mode the temp works correctly and the grill element cycles on and off as the set temp is reached.

Any ideas? Is it likely to be the computer control module or does the oven have different temp sensors for the different cooking modes?

    Cheers in advance!!

    Hi.

I had one of these & it turned out to be burnt out wiring. It could also be caused believe it or not by low insulation elements.
