have just changed heating element and drain pump on the above

did have leak on drain pump which activated flood drain on first start up

cleared leak, dried out base plate
now unit is starting with drain, then fills and instantly drains as if float switch as been activated, it does this twice
and the goes into fault mode, light 7 flashing glass symbol and buzzer sounding
have checked float micro switch …closed circuit ..open circuit when activated
as this is my own appliance got my head scratching mode on
    any help appreciated

not a lot of tech around for these. Hoo list model BDi632 on their site but not 631. and the service manual is only a parts breakdown as I assume they have not put all the manuals online when they took over Baumatic
have you check the float sw properly ?
don’t forget that dishwashers contain salt water and if things get wet is can leave a residue that can conduct small amounts of current leading to false readings

Yes micro switch tests out ok..closed circuit when in position
unit was working fine prior to element and pump change.. Just no heat and noisy drain pump
only thing is machine was put on side. To remove base plate to access bottom
    seems strange fault has occurred

    long shot !

how is the water measured ? reed sw or pressure sw

if its a reed check wiring from reed to board and change reed. I always carry rs part no 362-2495 in my tool kit
