Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to adjust the door tension on a Baumatic BDIN1L38B-80 60Cm Integrated Dishwasher please?

Currently it is hard to open and will not stay open if I am not holding it.

    Thank you

by the looks of it the design does not allow it to be adjusted

there may be a way of changing the tention of the spring inside but it would entail taking the sides off the machine

Thank you. I have found instructions for other models but not this one and I have been waiting for Baumatic customer services to get back to me for some time. It will need adjusting as the dishwasher door currently is hard to open and the tension is such that if I am not holding it springs shut again. I though integrated dishwashers were meant to allow for door tension adjustment?

I’ve just found this similar thread with a similar reply.

    https://www.justanswer.co.uk/appliance/ejh54-baumatic-dishwasher-delivered-during-covid.html

“Understood, the hinge does not have an adjustment on this model, the doors are of a significant weight and as you have suggested this would rectify the issue (once fitted).”

I will have to wait and see how it fairs once the door panel is fitted but the tension is so strong that I find it hard to believe that it will not spring shut even once the door panel is fitted.
