Just baught an integrated Baumatic dishwasher BDW14 and did the self instalation. Everything seems to be working except that the door only opens about 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} and will not stay open but shots itself as soon as its released. Have tried adjusting the spring tension via the steel cable but this makes no difference. Any suggestions?

The spings for the door are set to roughly include the weight of the door panel – no panel, door is oversprung and will try and pull shut.

Thanks for that. Do you think that there is any way to adjust the spring for the time being?

If it’s the usual Chinese job, there should be two circular openings on the top rail. There are two screw fittings in there – turning them anti-clockwise (I *think*) will reduce the tension. Should be in your manual?
