    Baumatic BDW1640 dishwasher

The other day I received a error on my dishwasher detecting water in the base and then noticed a small pool of water on the floor underneath.

After removing the bottom and side panel I’ve found the source. It isn’t in fact a leak but the air breaker overflowing when the machine drains.

I’ve checked the drain hose and it appears clear and does drain the machine. It’s the initial burst of water once the drain cycle engages that overflows out of the air breaker.

Reading around I could only assume it’s either the waste pipe or the flow sensor on the air breaker itself.

Picture attached showing where the water goes.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Sorry I should have said. Does anyone have any ideas why it might be doing this and how I can try to fix it?

    Hi

I would say either a build up of crap in the pipework or the waste is also got a build up.

    Hey thanks for the reply.

Not quite sure I know what you mean. Is this something that could be cleaned out? Or would it require a new part?

    Thanks
