    Hey folks

We own a Baumatic BDW45.1 (as titled)

It is installed next to the cupboards under the sink. When we run this dishwasher all appears normal.

However the cupboard in question gets all hot and steamy to the point where water droplets form.

Afraid that this will eventually ruin our kitchen.

Had the engineers out and they consider it normal 😯

As a side note the dishwasher has had E3 faults twice which has been rectified.

    Any ideas ??

I think you may have to explain a little more clearly as to what cupboard you refer to? The dishwasher is not designed to fit into a cupboard but rather more likely to be fitted alongside a cupboard. The dishwasher front being the outer door so to speak.

On the assumption that the appliance is fitted as per the installation instructions, within a cavity between cupboards being a typical location, you should not experience any condensation whatsoever. Except that is in instances when the door is opened and steam droplets will indeed gather on any protruding worktop directly above. That is indeed quite “normal” and unavoidable. Though some manufacturers provide a metal ‘vapour guard’ that is to be installed under an MDF worktop in that immediate vacinity. Its purpose being to prevent any steam/water penetration getting into the wood chip compound and damaging it.

    I have little doubt. 🙁

Yes you are correct the dishwasher does fit in a cavity within the kitchen and the dishwasher door of course matching the rest of the kitchen

There are cupboards either side of the dishwasher (as probably in many other kitchens)

The cupboard (a under the sink cupboard) to the right of the dishwasher experiences condensation inside when the dishwasher is running

    This is not normal
