ParticipantBaumatic BDW5 integrated dishwasher. Serial no. 906471375 040355173.
Starts a cycle, runs for about ten minutes, stops, drains out and bleeps continually. The four lights on the facia flash alternately:-
LED 1,3 and 4 flash simultaneously then LED 2 on its own. Continues alternating until the ‘stop’ button is held for 3 seconds.
I think it must be heater or heater circuit related; customer handbook shows every error combination but this. Heater checks out OK. So could it be the PCB board or the NTC? The NTC seems to be the cause of similar problems in other threads. (BTW, what does NTC stand for?) And where is it positioned on a Baumatic? How can you test to be sure it has failed?
Thanks,
Steve.

Back today with the same fault – stat open circuit. Not bad, new stat lasted all of 9 days!!! 😈 .
Is this a problem with these stats? Are they known to be rubbish or am I just really unlucky? Or is there anything that may affect the stat (the heater checks out perfectly in continuity and insulation tests).
I’ve ordered another new one so let’s hope that’ll solve it!!!Any comments please!

hi is the stat at back centre and pokes thru tub between heater? If so these can fail if the customer is placing a large pan over it stopping the water getting around the heater at that point which causes localisation of heat tripping stat. There should be a seperate stat or ntc this is an overheat stat, one shot.

This is the stat (double pole) on the left side of the cabinet directly behind the heater. I thought it was strange to have 2 fail so quickly. 😕 New one arriving today – fingers crossed it will sort it out!!!
