ParticipantI tried the advice, tipped up the machine so the water drained out of the bottom and it worked for 3/4 of the cycle and then the drain pump kept running again.
Tipped it upside down and took off the bottom plate to look at the sump? salt container. There was water and salt in that.
There are also 2 tubes (like the outlet hose but a lot thinner). One is connected to a rubber thing on the inside right of the tub under the door and the other was off altogether. Don’t know if it was ever connected, there is some sealant stuff but no rubber thing going into the tub. They are not connected to anything at the other end, just dead ends fastened with cable tie things. Are they significant? On the left of the tub (under the door) is a hole that I can put my little finger through where this pipe looks to have come from.
The machine was working fine and I didn’t pull it off. Any suggestions?
Ta ever so.

Ta ever so.No worries, my son sorted it out.
The little tubes were some sort of breather pipes, he pushed the loose one back. He also tested the float switch and that was fine so (thanks to reading this forum) we looked for a leak.
Found, it is the plastic tube that feeds water to the upper spray bar thing, the threads had split and water was dripping at the back into the bottom tray triggering the float.
Temp fixed it with silicone sealant and I’m ordering a new part and O ring.
