I have a friend ( they are always the worst ) who has one of these machines built in. I have not seen it but he informs me that his door seal has a tear in it.
Who makes these appliances and on a scale of 1 to 10 how difficult is a door seal change on this washer/dryer.

Not to be confused with the Hotpoint’s Fully Integrated Washer Dryer (BWD12) here is Baumatics website info for you to enquire further:-

Had a look at that earlier Martin, in fact that was how I got the model number because my mate couldn’t find it.

He has phoned an order for a seal, I just wondered if anyone has done one of these. I once did one on a Newpol W/D, a horrible black seal, again for a friend over 20 years ago. I never went to another. 😥

a recent one on a Bauknecht was a bit of a pain as well.

Sorry, that wasn’t much help really was it 😀

They used to be House of Clydesdale. They manufacture for CDA, Baumatic, Caple and a few others I think.

I’m not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure this one is made by them but a lot are.

They’re quite decent machines actually. Stainless tank etc, so it ain’t going to die as quickly as you want. If the rubber has gone, check the suspa legs – they can detach from the floor, or the brake insert falls out. Buying the bits from Baumatic is not too painful either.

AND, leave my old Newpols alone. 17 years ago, I was Mr Newpol (and Technogas, Solartronic, Proline (when it started)). They were completely misunderstood machines – made by Domar in Spain to Laundry standards as opposed to Domestic Washer standards (cheap junk), they were little tanks. By the time the Super 800 came along, it was an incredibly robust, simple and easy to work on machine. The downside was our complete inability to get spares out of the door. 98{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} parts availibilty, no credit card facility……… Died of apathy and frustration in the end.

    Happy days………not.

    Cheers,
    Chris.
